Today is the start of Hanukkah, an eight day Jewish celebration!
As 2020 winds down and we all look forward to a better 2021 there are several significant holidays, including Hanukkah, that you and your employees are likely to be celebrating.
The goal for most of these celebrations is to show appreciation to our employees through gifts, cards, parties, gatherings, etc. Yes, those gatherings may be a Zoom cooking class or virtual escape room, but gatherings nonetheless.
Leaders who want to be inclusive will focus their efforts beyond the traditional Christmas celebrations. They will keep not only the dates below in mind, but learn which holidays your employees do celebrate. Some of the biggest religious celebrations happen at other times of the year.
As you finish up 2020, ask your employees which holidays they recognize and how they plan on celebrating them... it is a great way get to know your employees and help them belong!
